2. Principle

This website uses no tracking, no analytics services, no advertising cookies and no embedded third-party content. Fonts, scripts and the trailer video are served from our own server.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is operated by an external hosting provider. When you visit, technically necessary data is processed and stored in log files: IP address, date and time, requested page, data volume, browser and operating system. This serves secure and stable operation (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after a short time.

4. Cookies

The public website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. If you switch the language using the language switch, we store your choice in a small cookie (dg_lang, lifetime 1 year) so the site appears in your language next time. This cookie is necessary at your explicit request (Sec. 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and contains no personal data. You can delete it in your browser settings at any time. A session cookie is set only in the protected admin area for logged-in administrators.

5. Studio Lab: domain check

When you click “Check” in the domain check, your browser sends the entered name directly to public registry services, which technically receive your IP address:

  • Verisign, Inc. (USA), rdap.verisign.com, for .com
  • Identity Digital (USA), rdap.identitydigital.services, for .io and .ai
  • rdap.org (registration data redirect service), for .app and .dev, and the registries behind it
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), cloudflare-dns.com (DNS lookup), for checking active servers and .de

The request is made only on your action and serves the check you asked for (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We do not store your input ourselves. Transfers to the USA may rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. If you do not want this, simply do not use the domain check.

Your description is processed only in your browser and is not transmitted to us or third parties.

7. Contacting us

If you write to us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process your details (name, e-mail address, message, selected language) to handle your request and any follow-up questions (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). When you use the form, we store the request in our database and notify ourselves by e-mail; to protect against abuse, your IP address is used only briefly in hashed form to limit the request rate. We do not pass this data on without your consent and delete it once the request is settled and no statutory retention duties apply.

This site links to external websites (e.g. partner projects). By clicking you leave our site; the respective operator is responsible for data processing there.
